It is being reported far too frequently that dogs are running loose in the neighborhood. They are threatening walkers and bicyclists, agitating fenced pets, and chasing deer. Not only is this unsafe (especially in the summer heat) for the dogs, but it is not fair to a driver who might accidentally hit an animal — a terrible thing to have to experience.
If you have pets, it is your responsibility to keep them contained on your property. Kind neighbors might try to catch a loose dog and locate the owner but that’s not always possible. Calling Animal Control is sometimes the only option. PLEASE check and fix your fences, don’t let your dogs run loose, and help keep our neighborhood SAFE!
