Marianne Wade Moore, a former resident and HOA board member, passed away on Sunday, August 10. Her husband, Dr. Perry Moore, announced on Facebook on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Marianne lived in Willow Creek Estates from 2010, before moving to Kissing Tree in 2021 with her husband, Dr. Perry Moore.
Marianne joined the board of the WCHOA in June of 2009 as Vice President and in 2010 was voted in as one of the Directors. In 2015, while on the board, Marianne was instrumental in helping to get Section 1, Willow Creek Circle, back into the HOA. Her board accomplishments are so many that we couldn’t list them all.
Marianne was very active in volunteer work in the San Marcos community, including the Heritage Association, the Guild, the Methodist Church’s Twice Blessed Consignment Store, Texas State’s Friends of Fine Art, and numerous other community projects.
According to Dr. Moore’s Facebook post, “Marianne loved San Marcos; the town allowed her to bloom and spread her wings in numerous ways. Marianne and my connection in San Marcos was, most importantly, the First Baptist Church. They welcomed us the first Sunday we attended. Marianne was baptized in the San Marcos River, one bright sunny day. I will miss her, but heaven will welcome her.”
The board enjoyed working with her because she was forthright and decisive. We loved her sharp wit and her ability to navigate various challenges. Marianne always wore a smile, her laugh was contagious, and nothing seemed impossible to her.
We love you and will miss you, Marianne. Rest in peace.
