Beware – Rattlesnakes Seem to be Everywhere

Reports of snakes are coming in frequently. Just yesterday my next door neighbors reported that their dog had been bitten by a rattlesnake in their backyard very close to their house (not out in an area where there was cover). Thankfully someone was home at the time and they were able to get Bella to the vet very quickly and it appears she is recovering.


Memorial Day Closures

Most federal, state, county and city entities along with banks, credit unions, stock market and some other businesses will be closed on Monday (May 27) for the Memorial Day Holiday. You might want to call ahead and check if you are trying to tend to business matters on Monday.


Annual Meeting + Proxies Needed

The annual WCHOA membership meeting will be held on Sunday, June 2. Click here to see the flyer. Also, we really need your proxy if you will be unable to attend the meeting. We must have a quorum (either in person or voting by proxy) in order to conduct HOA business. Please click here and print the proxy form, complete the proxy form, then you can scan and email to us, mail it to our post office box, or give it to someone (board member or neighbor) who will be attending the meeting. Instructions are included on the proxy form.

There will be door prizes and refreshments.

City Offers Remembrance of War Dead on Memorial Day

The public is invited to pay tribute to those from Hays County who lost their lives in combat at a special Memorial Day ceremony at the Hays County Veterans Memorial, located on the corner of Hopkins Street and Riverside Drive, at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27. Read more……
